Challenge
Create a consistent, accessible icon library as part of the Digital Pulse Design System, supporting brand cohesion and usability across a wide range of digital experiences. The goal was to replace a fragmented icon set with a scalable, accessible solution that meets both Enterprise Brand and accessibility standards.

My Role
As a Senior Manager, I led the redesign and systematization of our iconography. I redrew over 250+ icons in Illustrator to create visual consistency across the system: harmonizing shapes, aligning optical balance, and standardizing stroke weight to meet accessibility requirements such as minimum contrast and legibility at small sizes.

I developed a comprehensive library of icons with both outline and filled states, creating individual Figma components to support flexible usage across light and dark themes. I collaborated closely with accessibility experts and brand stakeholders to ensure the new icon set met all visual and functional standards.

Solution
I spearheaded the creation of the Digital Pulse Icon Library, which became a foundational asset within our design system. This effort involved:

  • Redrawing over 600 icons to align with brand voice and visual guidelines

  • Adjusting line weights and forms to ensure accessibility compliance and scalability

  • Structuring each icon as a flexible component with outline and filled variants

  • Documenting usage guidance to promote consistency and ease of implementation for designers and engineers

The new icon system was adopted across mobile and web platforms and has significantly improved design cohesion, reduced redundancy, and saved time for product teams. This work was instrumental in driving broader adoption of the Digital Pulse Design System across the 450+ person design organization.
